WORKFLOW CAN STREAMLINE BUSINESS PROCESSES

Vibrant Community Networks websites have built in customizable workflows. A workflow is a set of instructions to be carried out as a chain of events in response to some user action.

The example to the left shows a workflow of a work order process. First the tenant logs on and fills out a work order request form. The form can be configured to collect any information that is required. When the form is submitted the system uses the workflow instructions to decide what the next step should be. In this case a notification is sent to the building manager for approval and assignment of the work. When approval is granted the system checks the workflow instructions and sends the work order to the maintenance department. When the work is completed the maintenance worker logs on and fills out the work order form as complete.  He or she also specifies any additional information such as time involved or parts needed. When this form is submitted the system again relying on the workflow instructions, sends a notification of work completed to both the tenant and the accounting department.

It is important to note that each of these forms, notifications, and the steps in the workflow can be easily configured or changed to meet the needs of your organization. This powerful and flexible framework can automate many of your business processes today and in to the future.
